Intro - The Summary

Once more back from another successful Ride to Ladakh – ‘The Real India’.
Mumbai – Ladakh – Mumbai (July, 2011).

Riding for 21 Days over 6500kms on a Motorcycle.. Once More..!!!

Few Highlights in short :
· Rode through terrains such as ‘heavy’ mud, dangerous ice-cold with heavy current water crossings and the usual worst road, mountains, snow, blah-blah..

· Had a fall on 2nd highest road, but thank god for wearing safety gears all the time
· Stucked one extra night/day in Himalayas. Stayed in tents with army & had food with them. They allowed us to call up our family from their Satellite Phone. Special salute to Indian army.
· In Kargil, no place to stay, after lot of pleading got a place in a dining rooms corner of a small guest house
· Stucked at Rohtang Pass in knee level mud, Took 10 hrs for a distance of 50 kms. Landslides on the previous day caused this.

Places witnessed :
· Rode through Top 3 highest Motorable Roads in the World..
· Pangong Tso – Lake shown in 3 idiots on an altitude of above 14000 fts.
· Magnetic Hill – An entire hill having magnetic behavior. Attracts metal. We tried with our bikes. They were pulled towards the mountain defying the law of gravity
· Drass – 2nd Coldest inhabitant place in the world
· Amritsar - Golden Temple, Jallian Wala Bagh, Wagah Border

States :
· Mah – Guj – Rajasthan – Haryana – Delhi/Chandigarh – Himachal – J&K – Punjab - Mah

Nothing great though

Though snow was little less & more rain, This time it was more tougher & different than I did back in 2009. The climate & terrain was totally against us.
But we stood by it.. basically, "When you have no option, we do amazing things"

This was the second time I did this journey. But it was completely different experience in its own way. This time I did with my childhood buddies (Ajay & Adhir)

Am having words, pix & videos to share which I will do it in coming days.

But a worth journey, a must see & experience on an Indians list of “Things to do before I die”!!

Note : No pic or video or words can bring you closer to the REAL experience of that place
